PostSubject: Transparency-Free at SumoPaint (online)   Sat Aug 15, 2009 4:05 pm

well i posted this in the lounge and know its time for the tutorial!

basically micros look better with no background ie:transparent.expesially on this site.

so i found SumoPaint-an online image editor, much like photoshop.

link: http://www.sumopaint.com/app/

#1: First of all open SumoPaint
#2: Second close the blank white page(automaticly opens)

#3: Then go over to "File" and click "Open from My Computer"

#4: Now your image is open, duplicate it("Image"-Duplicate) and delete the first layer(layers at the bottom of the screen, click the arows beside colour picker and swatches)
#5: click on the "Magic Wnd Tool" and select the background(red area in this picture)
*make sure the tolerance is 10 and below(1 if anti-aliasing is on the outside)

#6: Once you have clicked the background it should make the selection
#7: now right click the background and some options will appear
#8: click "Cut selection". This will clear the background making it transparent

#9: again go to "file" and click "Save to My Computer"

#10: lastly make sure it is set to "png" and just hit save

and there you go, the image is now transparent, now your micros will blend in with the
background and not apperar to have a white rectangle behind them!

of course you still have to upload it on to an image hosting site.
i would suggest Photobucket.

Hope this helps

well first you duplicate the image that makes a new layer, then you do the magic wand thing, and when the background is cut, you get rid of the original layer. you should then see a check background
